I'm guessing in stock form, the 458 Italia is the same speed as a 430 Scuderia..
And if that's the case, I'd think it is slower than the GT3 RS..
Again, saying that in the "stock" form.. (stock size tires, stock suspension..)

I think the 458 beats 430 Scud and 997.2 RS, but I'd be happy as a clam to have any of 'em!

I may be working off of revisionist history but I'm fairly sure that, with the Enzo being the exception, Ferrari has been soundly beaten by Porsche at the 'Ring for comparative models for the past dozen or so years. I think the 997.1 RS beat the 430 Scud by a good 5 seconds.

The F430 has shown to be extremely reliable in Racing conditions, check the F430 Challenge, F430 GT3 and F430 GT2. The engine runs 30 degrees colder than a 997 GT3 engine.
At the 24hr of the Nurburgring a F430 got 2nd place overall, while the reliable Porsches broke left and right despite of being factory backed. The F458 is an evolution of the F430, except the dual clutch transmission which is made by Getrag (supplies the M3 DCT), and having driven that tranny for over a year, I don't think it is weak at all.
Back on topic, the f458 is faster than the .2RS on straight line only. Add turns and the 3,400 lbs F-pig can't keep up with the new RS.
The Scuderia suspension came messed up, with a few bucks worth of parts it gets fixed, and the car drops several seconds on lap times. I just checked the F458 suspension (car #1 in U.S.) and same problem as the Scuderia.
Once either the Scuderia or F458 suspension are dialed, I would place the .2RS in 3rd place.

Sport Auto magazine did the supertest on the Ring last week, and the first lap HvS did, was 7:38 with the 458. But I am not sure if this will be the official time, since they drove the car for at least 2 more laps in the afternoon. The time for the GT3RS was 7:33?

ferrari have really dialed it in since 2008 on their cars for service and reliabilty. (lets not reflect on the 348, 355 and 360s'.........)
as NJ-GT has shown, the 430 Scuderia has been very streetable and solid on the track. Great all round car. It actually has better ground clearance than my RS!
The 07+ GT3 have shown to be affordable to operate (tires n brakes) however they did have a few gremlins more so than the 430 ferraris.... But in all both are on par for reliabilty IMHO.
