for comparison, my RS was 3174 pounds with half tank of gas.

based on your calculation, I will be 3124 with no gas.

my options are front lift, full leather, PCM with nav, bluetooth, air con.

no roll bar, no harness.

Jeez, I guess I'm gonna be close to 3200lbs. since mine currently has the same specs as Tim with sound plus. Do you have the Zenon's Tim? Need to rethink my specs. All this weight kinda defeats the purpose for this car...

^Yes, I got Xenox lights too.

Don't worry Nelson, you won't be driving close to 100% of the car's capability, you will not feel the difference of 100 pounds of non-unsprung weight.

how is the difference in the aero on a 6 and 7.2? is it palpable?
6's are less than 1/2 price of a brand new 7.2 over here.
6: not so stable, play with fire
7.2: very stable, play with fire with fire extinguisher next to you.

i like them both.
and i like many other things. but i only have two car garage and a very nosy wife..... so

Basically it is the same weight as a regular GT3. I don't know why it is surprising? US cars don't get the plastic rear window other markets due. The few lighter pieces get offset with heavier wheels and tires. To get you minimum weight you would also need the other lightweight options: A/C delete and halogen headlights. I believe the minimum weight Porsche quotes is also with the club sport package and the lighter carbon seats. This is also not much different from the weight differences of a 997.1 GT3 to a 997.1 RS. The only real difference to reduce weight was the absence of a sunroof on the RS. This time around both the GT3 and RS are sans sunroofs.

I haven't weighed my GT3 yet. My previous 996 Carrera weighed 3160 lbs stock with Bose, power seats, 18" Carrera wheels and a half tank of gas. After changing the seats to Euro GT3s, removing the rear seat, installing a techequipe rollbar, swapping the stock mufflers for Fabspeeds and having the same half tank of gas it was exactly 100 lbs less at 3060 lbs. One thing I notice on low speed turns is the front end on my GT3 does feel noticeably heavier than my 996 did.

How much does the radio shave off?
Mooty let me know corner weights when you get it done:

I had the car weighted, aligned, ride height checked:
Weight with 5/8 gas:
LF 616 RF629
LR 1023 RR 988
Total = 3257, with everything that came with the car except driver, assuming 10 gallons of gas @ 7lbs per gallon that would make the car empty 3187lbs.
Only difference is no radio, no roll bar, no seat belts, no Traqmate and no heavy general tires in Mooty's car.

We tried to compensate for my 250lbs fat *** by adding 223lbs in the drivers seat:
LF 690 RF 654
LR1108 RR 1025
Total weight 3480lbs

This includes the General tires, they weigh 23 front and 34 rear VS the Michelin 21 front and 28 rear, (Per Tirerack, I would have sworn the difference was bigger lifting just the tires.) so they added 16lbs.
Also including rollbar, seat belts, Traqmate and camera, fire extinguisher, floor mats, manuals, all tools, etc.

If I'm 3170 minus the weight advantage of the 18" Hoosiers and BBS, I bet we come in right around 3150 with all the stuff in it with an empty tank.

Ride height we left alone:
LF 108 RF 108
LR 147 RR 147

You can see a lot of rake in the car, the rear can be lowered a lot and the front a bit also, but I want to try this first. The old car touched the ground everywhere, even the slightes wave in the road, the new one has not touched anywhere!
I just measure the wheel tire combo:
OEM wheel with monsoon 245 - 325 general rubber:
F45
R51

BBS with worn Hoosiers 255 335:
F51
R67

weight difference per corner:
LF 616 - 6 = 610 RF629 - 6 = 623
LR 1023 - 16 1007 RR 988 - 16 = 972
Total: 3212
With everything that came with the car except driver, assuming 10 gallons of gas @ 7lbs per gallon that would make the car empty 3142lbs.
Including radio, A/C, steel brakes, OEM RS roll bar, seat belts, Traqmate, camera, fire ext. floor mates, manuals and the tools.
