Help diagnosing engine noise
I've been hearing this rattling noise consistently between 2-3k rpm which is quite annoying when I was driving around town so I decided to jack it up and trying to localize it.
It appears that it's somewhere at the middle of the engine, more like a mix of rattling and hissing. Any idea what this sounds like and what may get rid of it? I started noticing this noise after I had both cats replaced.
Most noticeable between 10 to 14 sec of this clip:

That buzzing noise at just between ~2-3k rpm in the clip made the normally smooth exhaust note sounds like a taxi. I don't think it'll cause anything catastrophic; just wanted to find a way to make it go away.

I have no idea what the video reproduces. Sometimes you can find noises by using a "mechanic's stethoscope" (basically a tube with an ear piece) to identify the origin of a particular noise.
The newer 911's are a cacophony of harmonics and resonance. The best I can suggest is a third/rear muffler delete. It helps and it removes the "Boxster" characteristic, but the how system is heavy junk if you ask me.
