I am getting tired of street driving and having to take a double take to the right rear every time I need to change lanes thinking there is a car in my blind spot only to realize it is the big *** wing that I see(how many of you have done that)...
So here is my question: Tell the truth how many break in painful miles did you put on the car before you took it to the track for the first dance?

I can't believe I am saying this, but I'm glad the car has the new, big a$$ mirrors for the reason you stated. I had exactly 1900 miles when I showed up at Summit Point Raceway two weeks ago. There is a lot of debate over what is the proper break-in. I am glad I (almost) followed the instructions. If nothing else, it gave me time just to get used to the car. Now, I drive it like I stole it.

I think you have to look at correctly positioning your side mirrors to optimize your visual field.

my 08 RS was 6.5 days old when it first saw track duty. of course in that 6 days I'd already driven from miami to dallas to austin and back, so about 1600 miles or so
