Default 997 GT3 RS v2- PS2 tyres

Hello - are there are Michelins PS2 available for the new 997 RS sizes ? I understand the tyres are not the same size as the 992.2 GT3. TIA

Answer is no. I have emailed Michelin, bridgestone and Perellis...none of which offers road Tyres in 325/30/19 for the rear only semi slicks such as MPSC, and corsa.

Only way around this is down sizing to 18". Ask Peter (TrackCar)..he has taken this route..I'm still running around with the MSPC. When it rains I leave the car at home. If I'm caught in the rain I just slow down to a crawl

I have the Corsa's on my 997.2 GT3 (305s in the rear). They are excellent in all conditions - wet, dry, hot, or cold (down to 32F or 0C). In addition their track performance also excellent, makes sense being an R compound with wear rating of 60. But don't let the wear rating fool you, they wear like "iron" in comparison to other more track dedicated R compound tires.

I have over 6000km (~4000miles) on my set with atleast 10 track events running rather hard, and there is plenty (say 40 %) left on them.

Want a more streetable tire set up than the Michelin Sport Cup tires? I highly recommend the Corsa's - granted they do come at a premium price. In this case you do get what you pay for.

Also, the Corsa's are much better suited to the new RS than a set of older technolgy Michelin PS2's (good tires, but definately not great tires).

My 2 cents.

Cheers!

Corsas are great in the wet. I've been using them for years.
