Sorry to hear that Snowboarder, seems like you just got that 3.9 and made me jealous watching your "commuting to town" video! Good luck.

Sorry to hear that. The economic tsunami has hit me very hard also.
Hope you can sell other things and keep the car.
Good luck.

I'm sure the 3.9 is great, but there is no way I would trade even a stock 997 GT3 for it, let alone a stock RS.

Won't even trade a stock GT3? Because you don't believe the reliability of it?? Or?

This reminds me of the quote "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all".

Any buyer knows exactly what he is getting, since this is not exactly a Toyota Camry.

This is the downside to doing this type of upgrade. He can't trade the car if the dealer knows about the engine upgrade because they can't certify it. If they don't know, they won't give him any more for it so the engine upgrade is a complete loss. That leaves just private party. He needs to advertise it everyplace he can. I would strongly recommend talking to Sharkwerks about helping to sell it on consignment (probably best bet).

"Say it ain't so Joe, say it ain't so..."
Check your messages.

Bloody hell, this was the first customer delivered 3.9L right?

I'm very sorry to see you part ways with this beast.

So sad to see her go pal Bummed but someone is going to get an _amazing_ set up right there. The suspension, wheels, LWF, exhaust etc... and yes that motor:P

Here's another way of looking at it: If you want a well sorted out car this is it, you can go out and buy an 07 GT3 for say $70K send to to SW and have the 3.9 coversion done for say $26K suspension, wheels and and everything else I have done for maybe another $10K or more, then you do the math. Or you can buy a new 10 GT3 for for somewhere around $130K or more out the door. Do the math on this as well! I really love this car and am very sad to see it have to go.
