black rear quarter 3m shields to replace OE clear on white gt3?...
- stock OE 3m clear rear quarter films are yellowing / scratched / damaged
- they no longer look good
- my car is a white 997gt3.mk1
- going to try black replacements that are slightly larger (more protection) and that will also cover a little of the lower valance that takes a good beating just in front of the rear wheel
- i know from memory this is an old turbo look - anyone have any pics?
- my car has the RS wing and runs gun metal volks so I think it will potential work as a look
- thoughts?
- will post pics when done

I had my clear bra guy do a custom piece...runs entire rocker and up the rear quarter. Covers rocker from front wheel, under the door, and then up the quarter..tucks inside door jamb and rear fender. You get complete coverage and only one visible line (top of quarter). Premier had a photo of an installation on a grey car on one of these boards.

it would be kinda retro on a new turbo, but i dont think it would be something you would desire with time.
Remember, the manufactures have gone through great lengths to eliminate the old horrible black rubber and plastic protectors like that of the old turbo models.
I wouldnt recommend on a 6 or 7 GT3.
