fantastic. do gt3.2 and gt3.2 rs both use the same 18x9 and 12's? i'm assuming the only difference is the offset? i've seen gmg gt3 (reg body) cars stuffed with the same as or wider rim/tire combinations than the wide body rs...maybe somebody can educate me on the bonus of having the widebody of an rs when they use the same width rims...are wider tires used on the 9's and 12's on the RS(or 10's and 12's, if considering the wide carbon fenders than GMG races with and is used on their street gt3's)

tire sizes
I am getting 18" BBS Motorsport wheels for 2008 GT3 RS and I was wondering what size slicks should I get. Earlier in the thread 24/64/18 and 27/68/18 from GT3 Cup were mentioned. Now, the fronts sizes are very close to OEM, but those rears are narrower and and just a bit taller. So what would be the best size for rears ? Do I need to look for wider rears or those Cup sizes are the best ? Any recommendations ?

1. at least for 996gt3, 680 series of slicks are too tall, you will have ABS issues.
2. cup cars are spec racers, so there are rules for sizes. but you can run MUCH wider tires on your car if you wanted. on a narrow 996gt3, i have 265/645 & 305/645.

The car is 997.1 GT3 RS, so I am thinking of starting with 24/65-18 in the front and 30/65-18. Now the fronts will be identical to OEM tire diameter, but the rears will be 12.5mm or half inch smaller than OEM, but I can not find closer match from Michelin slicks catalog, but I believe that will not be a problem.
After that I might experiment with wider tires as well.
Any other advices or suggestions ?

What's a stack of nuts on a bolt matter when you have a 44" torque wrench and 46" breaker bar on board? I normally trailer the car to the track anyway but the CL wheels are definitely turning into a relative PITA. I suggested to the SE region Porsche rep to have a "CL delete" option on the next model year.
