MKI VS MKII pads and rotors

Larry-
Now I am confused. The picture you reference is from mikymu's 11-20-2009 "PCCB to GT3 Cup Steel Rotor- Bitter Sweet Conversion" thread. Correct me if I am wrong but the 2-piece in mikymu's photo is the Cup Hat/Rotor.

Obviously the 1 piece 380 mm rotor (actually it does have an aluminum hat and steel friction ring, but the aluminum hat is not reusable) in my picture is quite different and identical to the steel rotors I saw on a 2010 997.2 GT3 at Mid Ohio on May 1 & 2.
I hope mikymu can verify that his picture is of the 2-piece Cup steel rotor.

Good news; the 997.2 GT3/RS steel rotors fit the 997.1 GT3/RS PCCB calipers! Woohoo...

Hello all,
I am going to replace my OEM rotors with Brembo 2 piece slotted the next time. Anybody else going this route?
Mike

Well I have been told that there is an Brembo option available and am tired of these drilled rotors needing replaced due to cracking. I am on my second set of fronts right now and it looks like both front and rears will need replaced about the same time in several months.

Just wanted to find out if anyone found aftermarket rotors yet.
The new OEM ones seem to hold up better than the steel OEM ones of the MKI, but maybe I just have not pushed them as hard yet... 4 track days and just starting the see the first hint of the hairline cracks..
We know only the rear caliper and pads are the same (Pagid 8006) compared to steel MKI.
Rear:
- I have yet to check if the cheap MKI rear rotors will fit the MKII. Did anyone try yet?
- If the MKI rotors do not fit, is there a cheaper (Slotted) aftermarket alternative yet?
- What do the OEM ones cost?
Front:
- Front rotors; what do the oem ones cost and is there a cheaper, (slotted) aftermarket alternative yet?
- What do the OEM ones cost?
The steel GT3 and GT3RS have the same brakes, are they the same as on the MKII Turbo's as well?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don"t think the rear mk1 will fit because of the centerlock system on the mk2 (and the "studs" you have to bolt on the rotor center).
I already fitted 4 new rotors (carbonized them with the original pads, dont ask .... :/ ) , and I was surprised by the fact that rears are more expensive than fronts.
