Does it have a means to hold the torque arm to the wheel?

No, not that I'm aware of. The way I see them work is the end of lever arm rests against the ground and is used as the fulcrum while you hold the head assembly against the nut.

OK, that would mean it has to reverse the rotation in the gearing and create a sort of "scissor" action. I guess that works. I like the way it locks against backlash so the torque wrench can ratchet away at 65 ftlb until that nut seats.

Here are some pics of the actual piece, dollar bill shown to display compact size. Comes in a nice carry case with room for a socket when some select foam is removed.

Appealing offer!*
Does it allow for breaking the nut free as well? I thumbed through those product pages but couldn't see anything on left-hand thread torque.
* It comes with a free dollar?!

Yup, multipliers are designed to work that way, this unit is bi-directional. Just don't exceed the units max capacity of (200) Ft/lbs input -(1200) ft/Lbs output- in either direction. NOTE: I would use a standard 1/2" breaker bar in the multiplier for nut removal. I wouldn't use a good torque wrench to break the nut free, not good for the torque wrench, doing so could drop it out of calibration. Remember, after that nut has been in place for a year or two it wouldn't surprise me if you'd need up to (600) Ft/Lbs to break it free so this model is Not overkill. ...Especially if the boys at Sears Auto Center just worked on your flat. ...*Dollar not included. **Unless you really want it.
