The point is they don't have to prove it isn't OEM, you will have to go to court to prove it is. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, etc... Have a "mild" exhaust mod like my Sharkwerks primary bypass and you won't attract any attention. Do the full headers, cats, and mufflers, draw attention, get ticketed. Try convincing the officer with bleeding ears it's stock
I agree with the bikes - obnoxiously loud and enforcement is weak.

Good luck enforcing this law... how the hell is law enforcement going to prove the exhaust isn't OEM?
In California, if the cop wants to bust you for an illegal exhaust and make it stick, they're supposed to prove it goes above a certain sound level like 95db or something like that.

Believe me folks, it's illegal to tamper with your stock exhaust in CA. It's just not enforced. Obviously.
But getting back to the nice new Utah bill... Good luck with that..

That's the same state where the dominating church help funded proposition 8 in California banning gay marriage and mandate serving alcohol behind a veil until recently. Yes, we are united states of America but there are several choice states I refuse to live in and Utah is on the top of my list. They can ban aftermarket exhaust all they want and ban signal green Porsche while they are at it. I can care less
Exactly - when fundamentalist religion rules state politics, that's what you get.
