Nice get Bob!!! You'll find installing the rollbar and seat sub bars a breeze compared to earlier GT3s! Only took me about 4hrs by myself to install harnesses/sub bars/ roll bar/fire extinguisher/remove seat decals. By having the seatbelt attach to side of the seat, aligning/attaching bar much easier(no dreaded stripping of the holes!) Also compared to 996 euro seats, they redid the rail mounting bolts with much easier access. No need to remove the buckets to install sub bars.

Hi Arnie - Will do. The 2007 RS was about the same as the 996GT3, I expect this one to be quicker. Track opens May 1 so it will take a while
Dammit!

Ryan, that's good news. The seats have to come out to get the bar in I suspect. Did you use the Tequipment bar from the 996 GT3? I was hoping the Canadian cars would get the mounting points for the factory half cage. No such luck.

Yep, seat have to come out not only for bar install, but sub bar installs...but not need to remove seats from the rails to get the sub bars installed. Not using tequipment, but the DAS Sport from my '07 GT3. The Tequipment in the RS will be a bit of a PITA, because you will have to remove the rear carpet to be able to unplug the rear "seatbelt" mount points (installed one in my '07 before I got the DAS Sport.)

I think Ryan's belt install is the way to go. I am now really unhappy with how my GMG experience has been. I am still stuck with passenger side harness belts and no answer on how to attach them to the roll bar. After all I went through and still need two $2 dual slotted fittings to finish it up and make the should harnesses fit the bar. $300 labor to pay for trying to fit a first bar that was not made correctly. And the suggested and supplied 3" lap belts are a bear of a fit in the seat holes.
I think Ryan's set-up is better than mine from a number of standpoints.
Is my install super safe and does it serve it's intended purpose? For sure. Is it the best solution? I can't say so
