Ryan, thanks for checking on the trailer width!
and I do like your car without the side flags...which I plan to remove.
Please let me know what the actual measurement is...no rush, TIA!

Ryan, I have no clue when I'll get the car out this year. Work has been kicking my butt. I might try and squeeze in Mid-Ohio with Potomac in May?

For wide cars and open aluminum trailers only the Trailex 8045 and 8060 work. I had a Featherlite open and it worked as well (80" wide from the inner fenders).

My 2007 RS with 345 MPSC tires was 74.5" wide in the rear with the 5mm spacers removed, so the 2010 RS with the stock 325 MPSC tires should be around 74.3" wide with the spacers in place. My Scuderia measures 78.5" in the front axle.

There is a legal federal limitation for maximum width for trailers: 102". However, the trailer wheels and wheel well take a good 10" on each side, leaving a maximum usable width of around 80".

With 345 tires, the 2010 RS should measure close to 75" wide, it is painful to load wide cars on a trailer.

I was going to sell my 22' alum enclosed Silver Arrow Pace, and use my 18' Featherlite to haul the RS...but I need to do some measuring first!

trailer?
get the absolute biggest you can.
i bought an extremely expensive custom made trailer 20' enclosed. in 3 months i sold it at 50% discount and bought another much more expensive 24' enclosed. now i wish i bought a 28'. oh, it's the as wide as legally allows.

Yup, we're on our 4th trailer. Always too small. get much bigger than you think you need.

We all fall victim to the skill called "justification"

(I've got a black belt)

I too didn't warm to the grey when Porsche first launched it; however, your photos and the photos of the other cars that have been recently delivered have definitely gone some way to changing my mind. Congratulations on your new RS and drive it in good health.
