Default GT3RS Grey/Gold Silver Wheels

Did a bit of looking around and found an opportunity to pick up an April production GT3RS in Grey with gold accents, Silver Painted wheels, and PCCB

Went on the porsche configurator and the config looks good, but havent seen grey/black in person and would appreciate thoughts. Also dealer is asking about 8k over msrp although I have not tried negotiating that yet. Any comments on color combo and pricing? I need to move pretty quickly if I want it.

The option list is as follows:

911 GT3 RS...................................................................... .................$132,800
Grey Black................................................................... ......................$3,140
Black Leather Seats................................................................... .........$0
Universal Audio Interface............................................................... .....$95
Cupholders.............................................................. ..........................$0
Sound Pkg. Plus.................................................................... .............$700
Wheels painted Silver.................................................................. .......$0
Sport Chrono Pkg. W/Out PCM............................................................ $690
Floor Mats in Interior Color..................................................................$ 90
3spoke sport steering whl Lthr..............................................................$0
PCCB.................................................................... ..........................$8,840
Seat Belts---Speed Yellow.................................................................. ..$340
Contrast--White Gold Metallic................................................................ $0

Its a beautiful color and if you are into black or grey color cars and up for maintaining dark flat paint then its perfect. I just think about all the swirl marks and the fact that it costs $3k more for the color which swayed me back to White.
I think at this point in time any new RS would be pretty damn hard to get. It would be great if you can get the price hike down but for the market i think they wouldn't have much trouble finding a buyer at that price.

I'm definitely into grey cars .. the 3k cost is a bit hard to swallow but beggers can't be choosers as they say. My main debate at this point is on the markup, which I am always loathe to pay no matter what the car ..

I would not do Grey/Gold combined with Silver wheels. The Gold wheels are more like Gold Silver and very subtle. I think this combo would look strange especially with the gold decals on the side, which appear to remain. Just my opinion.

the gold matches the decals and mirrors; the silver matches the wing struts and headlight trim
either way, it's a winner

I'd delete the dash wart

take it and enjoy in good health is what i say. maybe try to get an '11 build spot somewhere and you could easily recoup most if not all of your money in the short term.

Here's a Silver wheels with Grey/Red decal delete combo.

End of the day it can all be changed if you don't mind spending the money, just not sure the dealer made a very informed call in your example. I'd use it to negotiate a better price.

Nizer, I agree - I will try to push him to MSRP or a couple grand over. I don't really want to modify the car after the fact. I have to say I don't mind the gold accents on grey, the only curious thing is the silver painted wheels. Not sure what the rationale was for that ..

Called around some more and now found a 2011 slot available at MSRP .. no estimate on delivery timeline as dealer said they would get the timeline once they put the order in, but thinks 6-7 months. Real tricky now to figure out what to do .. instant gratification at a premium or patience and newer model year ..
