Question MEET: SoCal Track "streets" of Willow Springs?

Thought it would be cool to get together with GT2/GT3 people and talk cars and drive our cars at the track. Would like a group of experienced drivers for one of the sessions. It would be great to have a session for new non-experienced people that could be more comfortable driving around the track with other newbies in a laid back track day.

Trying to see if i can but this together, between my BMW instructor friends and the P-car GT community would like to just get enough people to commit so to break even for the rental.

#1 Looking for responsible people to commit-please post if you would like to play.

#2 Looking for good drivers who play well with others and also looking for people who normally just hang out drinking coffee and looking at cars but would like to feel their car at the next level driving on a track.

#3 April 2 Friday Willow Springs Raceway "streets"

Will let everyone know asap if it looks like we can make it happen via this thread. If it does happen the cost might be $100-125?

Lets do it.

Joe

Im in..... maybe we should do the big track on a thursday.....

FYI... remember whomever puts it on needs to buy insurance for the event (I think willow springs can provide this at a cost)

You've gotta come out to a POC event. There's nothing else like it!

Check out www.porscheclub.com They run lots of tracks including Willow Springs, The Streets of Willow, Autoclub Speedway, Laguna Seca, etc. They offer excellent instruction and coaching at all levels. The events are very well organized. Safety is a priority. You'll have an absolute blast.

Thanks Andrew D.

As a BMW CCA instructor for 7 years i have been to all those tracks and more.

Just wanted to have a low profile track day with friends in between the other track days. Also thought I would try to have an easy going environment to have GT3 owners come out and drive on track that normally do not.

oh well

It's a great idea! It should be a lot of fun. I hope it works out.
