Excellent -- nice quick lap! The RS does indeed rev quickly and sweetly.

Were the Lotus and other cars you blew by on in or out laps, or were you really that much faster?

Besides the driving and the track, what I find excellent is the instructor. I've never seen an instructor take notes! Maybe you're not going fast enough (je plaisante)!

FWIW, I did a fair bit of research. I ended up with the Contour HD for second video and the AiM SmartyCam for integrated data and video -- it does all the multi-channel Porsche CAN acquisition (steering position, I'm pretty sure, since the blooody Sport Chrono picks that up.) If you want to go "big" then the Porsche-endorsed "RaceKeeper" is better again, plus up to four cameras. And the AiM David 2 (not yet available) will offer multiple video and CAN data acquisition.

For mounts, check out www.filmtools.com for suction mounts, etc. I have a couple of their mounts and they're brilliant. The XL 115 is a great all-rounder. I mount this externally on the body. They have a variety of clamp mounts if you want to get a lip-stick camera under the car to watch steering and suspension (or even mount to the suspension ... : )

Ha, I imagine that that suspension is on the, hum, stiff side. Not the best for taking notes or drinking coffee while going around the track, lol.
