Default got the bill for CXX US Spec car, black trim

CXX - complete wheels, air intake, outside mirror, side plates, foil decals all in black. Grand total $6,790.00!!!!!

Hell to the no I am not spending that! I can get all the pieces done in black way way cheaper.

For something that doesn't cost Porsche any more to money to produce, that is absolutely insane.

Do you have it broken down for how much for each? i.e. why spend money for the ugly decals in the first place? Knock those off that total to begin with.

I figured it would be this expensive so I just ordered the standard colors. If I do decided I like black down the road then I would find a quality shop to do it. I think the cost for black wheels alone will be enough to get all the pieces painted to black from local shops. My guess for the prices would be wheels 3000, intake 800, mirrors 1000, wing plates 800 and graphics 1000.

I got a quote today for wraping my RS something like this when it comes in.
$3900 . Minus all the type.... So a lot cheaper than $6,900.

I have had RUF powder coat wheels before for less than $1000

I just priced some nice looking Carbon Fiber matte (ORACAL 975)...a 3'x60" piece is $80.
I think this will hide the red lips, nicely, and match the new Carbon Fiber mirrors and winglets.
Tear-off the flags and paint the wheels...done!

Where are you located?

This is the response Porsche gave me, regarding CXX options on a U.S. car:

(Come to think of it, at $6790, I would say you got the same response!)

That's awesome Friz - I can't wait to see it. When is yours arriving - April or sooner?
