It's over priced? $130k? A bit of a fantasy yes? It's pretty!

Yes I agree it is high. Was checking to see if some here owned it or if it has any "history".

My impression is that the market on these cars is 110 ish with no stories and lower mileage. Some cars are under the 100k threshold now.

I will say. CoRS had a VERY nice white one he couldn't sell for $110.

For some reason, the dealers asking price is always a little on the high side. But then again, if you purchase the car from them you always have some type of re-course?

His had some pretty serious history prior to him owning it but this one is still way over-priced.

I offered $110 for that car and was told to pound sand by a rude ***** of a salesperson

he told me they were into it for $124 and the fully expected to get full price for it

my response was that it was dying a thousand deaths on eBay after it sat on a lot at mb pompano and the were way out of the selling market...

***** salesman said "we have had SEVERAL offers significantly higher than yours"

conversation was going nowhere fast... that was a month ago

Read again - only one owner and then two dealers trying to charge way too much for it.

And if you don't pay their exorbitant price and pay "market" of let's say $100k, you have $30k in your pocket to pay for multiple anythings to go wrong.

No personal offense meant, but never understood all the worry over a dealer "standing behind" a purchase.

1. These cars are so durable and trouble free.
2. I carry max deductible on all my insurance because I never intend to use it. Because people are sooo scared of the unknown and it's perceived likelihood, insurance companies always have some of the biggest buildings in town!

Do your homework upfront, drive intelligently, enjoy, relax. That's my thought (and don't pay some crazy amount for baseless fears!)

Haha... hope they choke on it. Sounds like they sell attitude not cars!

RS pricing seems to be like the housing market, always those that refuse to accept reality and wind up chasing the market down or filing BK. Smart people know to take a loss and move on.

And just like housing the RS market is infested with the vermin otherwise known as flippers.

On the other hand, my employer (a BMW dealership) has allowed buyers to return cars for reasons that were, shall we say, suspect. But that doesn't mean they overcharge either. One has nothing to do with the other.

I think in the case of our friends at Boardwalk, they probably own the car too high and are hoping to retail their way out of it. Whatever....that's their business.

Market values are pretty easy to find out, so whether they paid 120,000 for it or the owner's grandpop gave it to him for free, it's worth what it's worth. Probably 110 give or take.
