Default BK Harness Bar and GT2 seat question

This is probably a longshot, but is there anyone out there who has a Bose sound system in their GT2 and has installed a Brey Kraus harness bar? I have a 2009 C2S with the optional sport bucket (GT2) seats and Bose sound. The standard BK coupe harness bar (R-1030) won't work with the Bose so I have to use the cab bar (R-1029) instead. However, I'm concerned that the support tubes on the cab bar may conflict with my seatbacks. I've contacted Brey Kraus and they think the bar will work but don't have a sport bucket to do a mock up on. Was hoping someone here might have experience with this.

Larry, the main mounting bar for the R1035 attaches to the rear shock towers, same as the R1030, so I'd have the same problem; it won't work with the Bose speaker enclosure on my rear deck. The cab bar is supposed to solve that issue, but will it clear my sport buckets is the question.

you're probably right. one vendor has offered to take it back if it doesn't work. just rather not go through all that hassle, but may have no choice. thanks for trying to help.

Since you're the guinea pig, I would inquire about getting the bar at a substantial discount to "compensate" you for your time and effort to try/test for fitment issues.

Otherwise they need to spend money on R&D to guarantee fitment.
