If you beat E. isnt mission accomplished?
Not exactly. Only beat him this weekend. Erik managed a 2:21 flat last year. It was a bit colder then, but not sure if I could ever squeeze a 2:21 out of my car.

What happened to S-car? I saw him in the pits and he thought it got baked. Sell to your Bro and keep it all in the family....
Sander bent a valve probably, the car still runs, but sounds funny. Went from 3->2 instead 3->4, he had a brain fart I guess.
He does not want my GT3, I told him he can have it, but he prefers the Mustang.

I think they have a 12-step program for that. Great to see you this weekend.

SuperSolo had about 20 cars, nice, open passing.
The Solo/instructor group had 80 plus cars, it was pretty messy with pilons everywhere on the track, broke down and crashed cars etc.

Not really and I quote Erik; "The stars have realligned and the world is in order again."
I could not keep up anymore on Friday and I never got close to his best lap of 2:21:

I tried like hell, but he kept pulling away:

pfff, 2.22.8's are easy on Hoosiers, 21's flat on RA1's is where the standard has been set

P.s. the beginning of the 1st video above, the Viper above was actually driven by Tommy Archer. Before the session began I even asked if he could please attempt to drive away slowly, so that Peter and I's egos would not be crushed too badly. He said he would try, but clearly he was not trying very hard. I was going to find the video on my recorder and then post the first half of the warm-up lap and put it on Youtube with the heading "Tommy Archer holding me up"

pfft and here I thought the standard was 2:18.6 on PS2's. of course that was a GT2 with a few mods. And a better driver than I am.

pfff indeed. Hoosiers are only fast for so long, this was right before they corded the rears.

You and your 21 flat, what was it, like 38 degree's on a cold, cold Winterfest morning in 2009??

I got my RA1's scrubbed in for 48hoursatSebring, I am hoping for a cold, cold morning :-)

I'm hoping for a nice 85 degree FL summer weekend. Besides it was stone cold on Thursday morning. I don't remember being that cold last year.

Gus, we're all just a bunch of hacks. As shown in the picture above, I'm just a little faster then Peter , and a little faster then the Viper when driven by another hack. When the same Viper was driven by Tommy Archer as shown in the warmup lap of Peter's video, I could've broken my personal track record and never have come close to the Viper.

85gold, apples and oranges, apples and oranges . The fastest time on a stock GT3 that I've seen personally was 2:20ties, but they are/were running on Michelin Slicks. As soon as you modify, all rules are out the window. Marcos Sowinski ran 2.16's in a 996 GT3, but it had 300 lbs removed, short gearing, motons and slicks.

I know just had to tweek a little. Best time in my 996GT3 with Motons and Toe Links was a 2:25.6 on Advan AD07's. April 2008. Running 2:21's is smoking on RA1's.

Any times I post are not mine, I am a hack, but my co-driver is pretty quick.

Well then, it's clear erik you need to take out 300 lbs on the pumpkin, you got tire trailer, so slicks, new gears and motons....

And the funny thing is; We're linesd up behind the Viper and I go; "Erik stay on his *** and see if we can tattle that viper!" Erik walks over to the car, turns around with a big smile and says "Good luck with that, that's Tommy Archer!!"

Erik; "2.16's with 300 lbs removed, short gearing, motons and slicks" should be no problem...
You'll even beat me in my nice shiney new RS ;-)
