Weight savings: PO3s vs standard seats
Anyone know how much weight is saved by the PO3s vs. stock seats? Was also considering the new (and might I add gorgeous) Sparco DTM RS seats; pricier for sure, but man they are nice. Wonder how they compare to the Sport Bucket Seats, weight wise...I know how much lighter they'll make my wallet

24 kg (53 lbs) is the difference between the standard sport seats and the P02 lightweight fixed buckets (for both, not each). But I don't think the lightweight buckets are available for the USA.

On my scale, total weight for standard seats (both): 107 lbs (one at 50 lbs and the passenger's side at 57 lbs).
The GT2 Carbon seats: driver's 35 lbs, passenger's 38 lbs, total 73 lbs, weight saving 34 lbs over standard GT3 seats.
CGT carbon seats in fabric 22 lbs each, in leather 24 lbs each. 996 GT3 Recaro Seats, 26 lbs each in fabric, 28 lbs each in leather.

The 996 buckets you mention - are those the carbon or glassfiber versions? I'm guessing carbon. If so, do you have any idea how much heavier the glass ones are than carbon?
I personally find the 996 ones much more comfortable than the tighter CGT-derived 997 ones.
