OT: 2010 Viper ACR sets lap record at Laguna

Just curious, is this time way faster than what a nicely setup GT3RS can do? Not really interested in one of these, just trying to put its laptime in context.
Edit: I found this for anyone interesting in comparing new 2010 ACR's time of 1:33.9:

Big, heavy, ugly and unsophisticated, but undeniably fast (and a relative bargain).

You nailed it BUT Vipers are insanely fast.

How do you compare it to the GT3 in terms of fun and driving satisfaction?

IF fun is lap time the GT3 is not close to the ACR but for me it is not. There is always a faster car.
I looked at them back in Jan. The thought of having all that raw power was a draw. Sitting in the seat was like being in the pilot house on a supertanker. They are fast, tons of down force but not for me.

By the way who Piloted the Viper; the same dude who recorded the record at the ring? Only makes sense!

It's faster than an RS, but slower than a Cup (but a Cup is not street legal and not a fair comparison). Guy that drove the lap was a newcomer to LS.

Quite a bit, unfortunately. It can be made street legal in some countries with very loose regulations, but it is impossible in the US.
BTW, I think the ACR is faster than a Cup on a fast track like the Nurburgring. 2008 ACR did 7:22 and the 2010 should be significantly faster (into the teens, I expect). I don't think a Cup can match that time (but someone here will know better than I).

the viper is faster all day long. so is a well prepped GTR.
well prepped gt3rs has a chance, but realistically it would be better to compare a well prepped GT2.
THE gt3 needs more jam to compete in the numbers game on the ring. period.
The gt3rs is a better car all day long however.
I own both a viper and a GT3rs.
the gt3 is a really easy car to drive and live with. dare i say practical.
like i said before, the viper is like dating a stripper....
