Rebuild your OEM LSD for $854.93 plus shipping
Hey there everyone,
With the recent discussions on LSD's here, and elsewhere. I thought that you all might like to know that there is a rebuild kit for Porsche Differentials available that would allow you to rebuild your differential.
You would not need to remove your gearbox in order to do this, although it would be a bit easier if you had a lift available to you to facilitate easy removal of the differential.
Cost on the Porsche rebuild kit is $894.93 plus shipping. This would be for the 4 plate GT2, GT3, 996 TT differential.
The kit includes friction plates, plane plates, new bellville washers, and spacers.
The benefit here is that you will not need to have your ring and pinion reset, and you will be able to restore the full preload of the differential to the stock factory setting.
I would be happy to help people with the purchase of this kit, and some instruction as to what you actually need to do in order to refresh your differential yourself. (It really is not hard, at all.)

The pic posted here is for the OEM replacement vanes as listed in the Porsche PET for:
2003-2005 996 GT3 G96.90/93/96
2001-2005 996 GT2 G96.88
2007-2010 997 GT3 G97.90
Matt was nice enough to correct my original post here that this is for the 4 plate differential, not the 8 plate, I apologize for the mistake on my part. Thanks for the correction, Matt, Monday morning before redbull, and I have changed the body of the original post.
