Question GT3 vs RS

For street use, you will take the GT3 and keep some cash or take the RS?

Both in White.

while the decals and the big real spoiler is too much for street use, I will still definitely buy an RS over GT3 any day.

a lot of GT3 after options is very close to the base price of RS. Given the opportunity to get an RS, I see no reason to pass.

the GT3 is a little less "look at me" for everyday use and parking around town.

the RS is more of a"look at me" car which attracts attention where ever you park.

It all comes down to your attention tolerances.

I personally love the widebody and the nostalgia of the RS.

RS has zero sound deadening and while I haven't seen it stated anywhere yet one has to assume that the standard GT3 has at least some sound deadening in select areas - under the rear carpet is where I'd expect to find it and maybe someone here can shed light on this. But, with wider tires, no sound deadening, and shorter gearing I'd expect an RS to be a fair bit louder in terms of road/engine noise transmission to cabin. Chris Harris alluded to this in his short EVO review but no comparison to standard GT3 was given. I trust we'll have more thorough answer once more reviews and real world feedback hits.

I recall final drive ratio is lower overall so you'll be turning higher RPMs for given speed on highways.

These are the only two knocks against RS in my book for street use verses standard GT3. To each his own on aesthetics. Personally, I'd prefer the option to be a little less "loud" but it is what it is.

Other than that, I'm a fan of widebody look and actually prefer the RS wing over the standard one. I'll take the added noise of the single-mass flywheel at idle for the quicker engine response.

We know the difference on track.

As far as saving cash, with engine mounts and GT2 seats standard I'm finding less options spec'd on RS vs GT3 so out-the-door price difference is not as great as one might expect. Also, keep in mind resale on RS should hold up better all things equal and assuming Porsche doesn't flood market with more cars.

After hearing what CARLSEN is doing to Mooty, trying to rip him off for another $38K over MSRP
then the RS goes out of the equation. But in order to get the dealers to pay attention we should all boycott the RS. There will be a 998 version

True, but the RS has a taller 6th gear to compensate (still a few percent lower overall in 6th than GT3, but no too different).

It all comes down to personal preference. I like the wing and wide *** of the RS.

Always the RS, even the MKI is worth the difference.

The exhaust, 15HP, wide rear, shorter gear ratio, std seats and engine mounts alone are worth the extra 20K. And you'll get it back if you ever sell it.

GT3 for me, I prefer the stealthier look (relatively speaking)...but fully understand those who prefer RS. The one RS feature I want is the 3.89 gearing.

Default Thanks folks

I still cannot decide yet, but my dealer told me Deletion of Decals is okey now.

Anyway I will do the EURO DELIVERY next year around May-July, so still have time to consider.
