Default how to reset service indicator

the car has had its 2 yearly service in july 09 at 11770km. The mileage on the car is 12560km. It says it due for a service in 26 days (the spanner logo with 26 days), so i think the service mechs forgot to reset the service reminder. Long story short ... Is there a way to rest this reminder myself?

EDIT: the car is a 997 GT3 RS ... read somewhere disconnecting the battery for 15min will reset this? sounds highly unlikely ... but someone let me know ... thanks

Have to go dealer to do it. Or buy your own Durametric device. That's it.
