Can't imagine even Porsche and the dealers believe that they could down-trade an RS customer into a GT3.

My sense: GT3's are sitting on dealer floors because they lack key options (mounts, lift, seats) and/or are stuffed with options most don't want, bad intro timing (fall delivery), and the economy.

I suspect it has a lot to do with the fact that Porsche sales did not tank in Canada the way they did in the US.
Lauzon was able to get 6 of them..... Wow!! So who are the lucky 5 guys??

The only reason the 2010 GT3's are sitting is the economy. If you drive it and can afford it...you buy it!

Economy is only one part of the story. Options are the other critical factor. Lack of DEM and Lift in early release cars kept a lot of folks on the sidelines. Maybe I'm not impulsive enough but I'd never spend $120k-$130k on a new car that I hadn't spec'd myself. And I certainly wouldn't buy one that a dealer had done this to:

IMO, it's the ridiculous specs that are keeping the cars from moving. Minimally optioned cars don't seem to be haning around long.

+1

I am personally AMAZED at how many dealer ordered GT3's out there have adaptive sport seats. IMHO, that's like putting a solid oak frame Lazy-Boy in a hang glider.
