Default gt2 exhaust

Anyone here have any thoughts regarding a 997 gt2 aftermarket exhaust. I currently have the stock muffler but i've had the cats removed, the sound is nice but i'd like something even louder.

here are two crap vids of the car, thanks in advance.

WOW that sounds amazing for a Turbo Porsche/GT2..... I wouldn't touch it LOL, or if I did, GMG WC-GT exhaust is cream of the crop!

As far as sound is concerned you have gone as far as you can with the stock exhaust.
The best quality aftermaket exhaust is the one from the OEM supplier Akropovik, they do special systems for the GT2 but at a price - I would imagine your catless set up with Akropovic new titaanium silencer/muffler would sound amazing...did I mention it is expensive ?

If you go this route I would be interested in a "group buy" for the special muffler...

the akrapovic looks very good, there must be a ton of material R&D done to make titanium headers which sustains turbo temperatures.

what about the M&M systems which are 70mm vs Akra's 60mm?

Interesting, so we have akrapovic, gmg and m&m systems. i'll spend the rest of the day scouting for sound bytes of these systems and their cost. dont get me wrong, my car sounds very loud in person under full load, but i want something even louder and nastier. what is nice is that current catless/stock muffler setup, the car sounds fairly normal under part throttle, but when u let it rip..... u get the picture.

70mm should be better than 60mm as long as the design is exactly the same.

100 cell cats sound mean under boost so can imagine how good your catless set up sounds
Found out that with the Akrapovic you have to buy the cats/pipe set with the muffler as the muffler has different inlet diameter and location so will not bolt on to stock pipes...

M&M looks just like FVD. Are they the same?

You are right, under boost with no cats it sounds like open wastegates haha , nuts!

From what I understand, M&M makes the external exhaust housing for both FVD and speedART. The internals of the exhaust (baffles, amount of glass packing, etc) are customized by each of the tuners. Depending on how it's tweaked, the exhaust will have a unique sound for each of the tuners.

My '09 Turbo cab has FVD's titanium 4-chamber muffler with stainless cats. It sounds good! You can have them make it as loud or quiet as you want.

Just ordered a complete titanium race system for my GT3 too (extra loud).

M&M does produce FVD's systems. They also produce systems for Manthey, , Flying Lizard Motorsport, Gemballa, and other premier tuners/racing teams.

They make real power and crazy sound!

$8,000-$14,000 depending on conversion rates and if you want headers/cats.
