Always all off.

Hey, that's an interesting question!
You reminded me that because I had a flat tire and because of the sudden PSI drop I got a message that "SC was partially monitoring". So it kicks back on when you get a flat??

I only saw it once (Did I imagine it??), after the tire was remounted I did get "TPM system only partialy monitoring" because only 2/3 (randomly) out of 4 were showing PSI.

It won't save the engine, but maybe it keeps you from spinning. I don't know.

Out of curiosity did you try a lap with them on? If not why? Are they interfering that much or its your policy?

I just prefer to be sure that what I feel the car is doing is real and I did try the first session and the engine held back out of the tight corners, where I prefered to just have some wheelspin. I never felt the stability control, I don't know if I can't feel it or it never came on.

The RS would be TTU or TTR I suppose, I guess with slicks it is possible, as long as I am not behind the wheel LOL.
My Mustang would be a TTB and it will never run a 1:37...
Peter

Your RS might be able to squeek into TTS 8.70 #'s per hp depending on Dyno and adding ballast if necessary. You would get murdered in TTU if a well prepped car showed up. The RA TTB record driver is top notch with a fully prepped E36M3. It is also 1 thing to hammer a $30k car @ RA but with a $150K vehicle the downside would really hurt.

I read that Rohrl said that he is quicker with them on. BS for marketing mother Porsche or they are that good? Last time i tried them was on 997 turbo and they were a disaster. but maybe they adjusted them to gt3 profile?

I tested them on NS in my '07 997.1 GT3 so it's not the current PSM on the 2010 but the CGT derived TC on the .1.

On the dry track my best times were TC(Off)+Sport(On)+PASM(normal).

PASM(sport) was too stiff for NS, but I found that the TC effected the ability of the car to turn in, not too mention that it also increased the rear brake temps in particular ... so turning it off helped.

I did run with it on when it was wet, for no other reason than being sensible ...

Yes I know the 997gt3 antispin dont like it either and also for some reason it worked better on the carrera GT plus the awsome sound of the engine cutting . Wanted to know about the new PSM. You ll tell us soon.

Ive heard that comment also wrt to the PSM on the TT but not the GT3 ... while I dont think WR would tell porky's you have to wonder; if the PSM is on, and that makes WR faster, that means that they are actively correcting the car.

I just wonder about a system that corrects WRs driving and what it will or wont do for me when I f*** it all up!

On the new 10's I think I would at least deactivate the TC and play with the SC to see what happens ...

maybe Jim C will let us experiment on his 10 RS this coming Sunday?

thought about a clio or similar ... but I prefer the rear wheel drive ... and since it's a BMW event ...
