Looking at that car I just get the impression that if some Porsche marketing douche had suggested putting a sport chrono in that car that'd they'd have tarred and feathered him and made him ride out of town on a vespa. One can envision the engineers saying "I don't care what it looks like, we need more front downforce" and "Need wider tires -- Fritz, hand me that rivet gun."

It just looks so damn purposeful.

With Wiedeking gone maybe we'll see the return of GT2s like this, ones more worthy of the name.

Another sensational GT2, though in this case, a bespoke car built for a race driver.

a real GT2 streetcar has 430HP, IIRC. there was a factory upgrade that took this to 450HP.

the cars feel faster than the numbers would suggest because of the power delivery (laggy), and the platform (lighter, noiser, raw-er than today's generation of 911's). not to mention you always knew in the back of your mind that this was still an "evil" old-school 911 that could bite you...

Riding passenger at the track always reduces lap times by about 2 seconds per mile!

Where those pictures taken? Reminds me of some spots up in Los Angeles.

I did a google search and see that the picture was taken in the Phillapines. Funny I don't see any Tagalog writing.
