Default Plans to Order GT3RS?

So, what are YOUR plans? Buy ASAP? Maybe, determine when released in 2010? Never? If you could afford/justify it? Deposit already made?

My deposit went down yesterday.

I am sold pending I can get a spot and at msrp, then I think it's a buy and a half! What are the chances of that happening? Slim to none, all of the dealers are saying they are getting 1 or 2 spots and they are spoken for/going way over msrp like the mk1 rs's :/

My contract says at MSRP. Placed $2500.00 deposit in April '08. Price seems fair, so OK.
I do need some luck to get some stuff sold / organized in order to be able to pay for it.

Not sure if I am first or second on the list, waiting for a call back from the dealer.
Maybe ordering in October for March (Euro??) delivery. Engine mounts will only option, I think.

Car is great, I prefer the look of MKI, but I can live with white on red minus decals..
Maybe I can change the red for black and white.

before you guys go running off to the dealer you better see what your price is. Before they screw you in the back. I dont know HOW many guys had contracts at MSRP only to find they were already sold.
thats my main reason besides my back for not even being interested. I still have a VERY bad taste in what happened in 07,08

Not sure I understand what you mean by "guys had contracts at MSRP only to find they were already sold"? Please explain?

If you have signed contract that specifies you are #X (lets say #1?) on the list, and contract says MSRP at delivery, then what goes wrong?

Thanks for clarifying!

Engine mounts are standard on the RS.

keeping my 07 GT3 and going 3.9. I will leave the 2010 Rs to the flippers and collectors. I enjoy driving mine too much and it's sorted out quite nicely now. I'll put the money I'm saving in the tire fund.

Still have a deposit in Atlanta, at MSRP. I'm waiting for the option list/prices to get a 'real' price (full leather and Litronics were options on the last RS, but find one without them). I don't love the new car, but am still keeping my options open.

On the list with my dealer, MSRP. Hopefully there are some different colors. Grey with black, or white with black. Funny how you don't really notice the color too much while you're driving it.

I plan on buying it to drive it, not keep it stored in the garage waiting for the next owner.

WTF... I am close with my sales guy at Porsche Huntington here in NY... He even said over MSRP for a GT3, I don't get it... Why are all of these dealers so damn stuck up in NY, Roslyn, MMC Manhattan ........

Does anyone have any info out of state for a car still available at MSRP?

Sorry, I am not a fan of the cheap looking fender flares, cheap tuner looking rear wing, the new graphics and definitely not a fan of any of the new color schemes. How about a white/blue scheme like the 996 GT3 RS or the white/black like the MKI RS? I got an option to bump back my November GT3 order for a spring RS order and I am passing. Don't worry, there are a few others behind me that already have deposits inline.

It did reinforce my decision to wait for a late GT3 order so I could get dynamic engine mounts (sport buckets and dynamic engine mounts are both already on my order sheet). There are pluses I got out of the RS. It also gives credit to looking at aftermarket intake systems since the new RS airbox adds 15 hp. I am also considering getting a Sharkwerks muffler bypass as it sounds better and is lighter than the RS Titanium exhaust.
