2007 GT3 Speaker
Not that the radio is the most important thing in a Gt3 but I have a question. I just recently bought a 2007 GT3 with 4500 miles on it. I did not take notice until about a week later that there was no sound coming out of the back speakers. When I took it to my Porsche dealership they said there were no speakers installed in the back. The covers were there but no actual speakers underneath. Id this unusual or typical unless you specifically get them there.
Thanks

My 07 RS did not have rear speakers when I got the car. I had suncoast send me the factory rear speakers for about $70 (they weigh about 10 ounces each) and my local custom fabrication shop wired them for me since the stock wireing harrness did not come with the proper connectors. The work needed was a none issue and the sound improved 3 fold. I am glad I made the upgrade

This may be a nice cheap option.

996 GT3 had rear speakers but not the RS. Fortunately the wires were sitting there behind the covers so I bought the speakers and fitted them, then had a Dension iPod connector installed. The rear speakers improved sound quality from hopeless to acceptable.

The rear speaker covers are there for show, there are no speakers unless you have the upgraded radio. The stock radio is useless, but that is why they put in a tilting sunroof; No baffle, all tailpipe music. Better invest in a sharky then speakers ;-)

Can't get my iPod to play through those speakers, though. I'll admit they certainly do sound good, but the song they sing is always the same, only varying in pitch and volume.
Hence, the addition of speakers inside the car, connected to the iPod. Provides a wider choice of music.

LOL glad you like it. I was driving home late last night from Monterey (after four days of working at the car shows etc...) and playing around to keep me awake
