Hoosiers and a track alignment is basically all that is needed

The factory setup is pretty damn good. The reality is that mere mortals have a difficult time extracting the maximum from the factory setup. A good alignment and a good set of tires is all you need as Paul noted.

To put this car's capabilities into perspective, there are guys at the local tracks that can turn production car lap records with only alignment and tires. The key though is being able to consistently extract that performance. A set of Motons, etc. will likely allow you to go faster more consistently, but it won't make you a better driver doing it.

My vote is to leave the car stock, but do an alignment and some good tires. Perhaps even lower it a touch, which seems to help things as well.

You can go fast with the stock set up as said but I find there is not enough rebound and spring rate in the spring/shocks...the car bounces and pitches to much....sure a pro could go faster with the stock car vs. me with the Bilstein Race shocks but I feel better..more confidence when the car is stable.

The other changes are the solid toe links and if you lower it the bump steer.

Wonder if that is true with the MKII as it is a lot stiffer and has a revised suspension geometry?

Default Suspension

InTrax titanium 4-way adjustable. Very complaint. Lots of adjustment. Safe a good deal of weight at each corner of the car.

As much as it may be stiffer, it replaces spring rate with compression and it will be lacking in rebound...On my GT2 in the Sport Mode of PASM I could not find any use for it..made the car nervous...it sucked!

The car now is Perfect!
