So, which would you rather have? The Audi R8 is pretty cool and exclusive. I already have an '07 RS and an '04 GT3. Personally, Porsche is pretty problematical, quality is not that great and the Company is in turmoil. My '02 Carrera daily driver is a basket case. So, maybe I need a change. What do you think? <I'm thinking of a Benz C63 as a daily driver> The R8 would get out on nice days.

I was choosing between the R8 and the RS recently, the RS won.... hands down.

i have 07 gt3 and audi s4 and a8l so i like them both but i wouldnt go for the r8. its got all the inconveniences of midengine but none of the track/sportiness to make up for it. i would rather have gtr and then get an xke or other vintage car for same $. r8 is more a tt substitute but even then only with the v10. rather go 430/gallardo if want exotic

it all depends what you plan on using it for....

i would never have an audi R8, especially over a porsche. And mercedes benz are cars best leased.

sell your 04 GT3 and keep the 07 RS .......... if you need a daily driver then buy a four door benz or BMW..........

if your 02 carrera is a basket case, then step up to a 997 C2S, you will be pleasantly surprised.

audi.... R8 or not are just junk. if you find porsche quality bad, wait until you owe an audi....

GT3 hands down, even non-RS. R8 is a looker in my opinion.

The R8 is cool looking and purportedly incredibly well-balanced, but I'd have a base GT3 over any Audi, even the new V10 R8.

Same here Martin. Just felt slow/bloated and ok at everything but not exciting. RS hands down:P

the R8 can have 2000hp V16, i would spit on it.

I think the R8 looks ugly, especially compared to its Gallardo cousin. Design is not a strong point for the german auto industry. And I found even the new V10 version a sluggish car to drive. Get an RS, but then I am biased.

The build quality of Porsche is higher than that of Audi IMHO. Your 2002 911 should not be troublesome - maybe you are bored with it.

Any p-car with the prefix GT is gonna be a better car than any audi or any other manufacturer, period. The r8 is a great looking car but to me drives like a comfy daily driver. It has zero entertainment value and has poor driver feedback compared to a gt3/rs/2.

I drove my buddies R8 last month....boring! no excitement, no visceral feeling, etc. I think you'd be pissed

Only thing that would move me out of GT3 at the moment is the 458 Italia but at what will likely end up near 3x cost it doesn't make sense. Plus, I'd probably end up driving it 1/10 of what the GT3 will see and feel a lot more self-conscious the whole time.
