Great video. Thanks for posting. My wife and I were at Goodwood this year and were standing at the start line on Saturday when the red GT3 launched. It was one of the most aggressive, tire smoking starts of the entire day and got a huge ovation from the fans in the nearby stands. Sure got me smiling as well!

That front spoiler looks real low compared to 997.1. Maybe it's an illusion.

There is two other videos with on-board camera in a F430 Scuderia Spider and a California. If I timed it right, those guys did it in 59s and 1m05s respectively, against 57s for Preuninger in the GT3

Its very hard to compare times at Goodwood though as most cars go up the hill in 'show-off' mode rather than 'max-time-attack'. Many will stop halfway up to do donuts/burnouts

That's partially because its that sort of event - all about fun and getting up close to cars and drivers and partly because there is NO runoff and massive great walls a few inches off-line.

Great video thanks for sharing.

I think it says something that test driver that has been driving this car for over a year still has a grin on his face while he is driving it.

It must be something special.
