- anyone here (if so my condolences) - see picture 4
- always trying to learn which tracks and which corners are worth committing to memory should i have the opportunity to visit
- road atlanta is on my list so that is why i ask

It really makes me think that we're taking the wrong approach to this track stuff. We should all buy a 1999 996, slap a set of Motons and GT3 control arms and then have fun. I bet I could be at least a second faster per lap in a car that is disposable rather than my beloved street car.

Great point FC. If we werent so in love with these cars and we were smarter we would either:
A: do what Mooty is doing and racing spec Boxsters OR
B: Race the Spec Miata. The ultimate disposable car!

It really makes me think that we're taking the wrong approach to this track stuff. We should all buy a 1999 996, slap a set of Motons and GT3 control arms and then have fun. I bet I could be at least a second faster per lap in a car that is disposable rather than my beloved street car.
it is SO MUCH more fun.
i come to a turn, stick my car inside, EVERY GT3 gets out of my way ;-)
i replaced my rear bumper 3x already this season. let see how many bumpers GT3 drivers would replace before then let me by ;-)
i thought about SM. but i think both SCCA and NASA would throw me out. i did plan to buy 3 SM all at once. arrive and drive. if i get taken out, i have two spare cars... it's so fun driving bumper car.... hahaha.
