"A new 911 GT3 RS, which will extend the 911 GT3 families and serve as a basis for homologation for future 911 GT3 racing cars, is currently in development and is expected to join the new 911 GT3 at the beginning of 2010."

saved the trouble of skimming through...

anyone else notice that these are actually 2 different "mules" one with big reds and a "new" wing, and one with PCCB and what looks like the 997.1 RS wing?

Also I hope that front fender lip/splitter is detachable/replaceable as it looks
like **** on the PCCB car on the ring ...

I wonder if the rumors of Riviera Blue will pan out ...

GT2 exhaust/suspension?

I think they are testing the 997.2 RS with both the 997.1 RS wing and Cup style wing, so they can measure the benefits of the Cup style wing.

That rear muffler looks like the one in the GT2. I wonder if Porsche is going to install an Akrapovic Titanium exhaust in the RS, which combined with the larger intake could produce a little more power, releasing a more powerful GT3 RS for the second time in its history.

That lightweight exhaust plus LWFW will be enough to get the 44 lbs lighter weight over the standard 997.2 GT3, despite the new GT3 not having a sunroof. This will make the new RS lighter than the previous one. With PCCB it should be even lighter as the PCCB are 10.5 lbs (4.8 Kgs) lighter than before.

Riviera Blue with White wheels and White decals !!!

Akrapovic Ti exhaust is an interesting thought and as you allude to the precedent is already there from the GT2. It would certainly shed a big chunk of weight. Downside is that it'd likely add as much as $10k to the base price.
