A 993TT might fit your needs pretty well (fun weekend or daily car with good residual value).

That would be my choice as well. I love the look of the 964.

Thanks guys....excellent points!! But, I really want to stay with cars at least 993 and above. I don't want something I have to work on or it stays in the shop.

Leaning toward GT3 or 996tt, cab. Heck I even saw a 997tt coupe for mid 70's...if I could find one of those with some miles for 65k I would buy it in a second.
Also have a chance to pick this up for a good price....but will I fit??

if you are over 200lbs and taller than 6', it's a tough fit. it could work but not comfy.

I'm 6'2" and 225. Probably ain't gonna happen. But, I like the soft top mod on it. In fact, it has about 16k worth of mods on it.

great for the weekend cruises with the family, Rog
I know that but I don't call a non power steering car a cruiser. I had one and it was great but around town it's another story.

Anyhow, Rog is a big boy and I'm sure he'll do great at picking a nice week-end cruiser for the family.

Well thanks. I have to say that the family of people here have been awesome with advice though. I learned SO much about my RS...it made the whole experience second-to-none. In fact, I've already got 1st dibs on an RS allocation if it happens because I love the car so much.

Concerning the little ones, my wife won't let them get near a sports car...they sit too low. So, the car will be just for my weekend gym visits and "happy Fridays" at work. And, if she gets a couple of hours to go shopping or something.

If u get into lotus, I don't think u can get out without amputation!

How about amg clk 63 black series. Cheap and it's an incredible car. Gt3 will need to workl very hard to pass it.

It'll be like putting on a very tight shirt! Cool for the track...not so cool for leisurely driving.

clk....nice ride but too much dough and still looks a little "grocery".
