I'm more than just a wee bit sceptical that this is in fact an RS mule...

Why would they test a 997 GT3 mkII mule when they already have released the full specs on the new car?
Why test a three-way induction airbox when the production 997.2 GT3 has two already?
This is as close to the 997.2 GT3 RS as the production car showing up in less than 12 months at your favorite dealer at the usual mark-up.

Is it remotely possible that it is a GT2.2 with a 3.8L Turbo?
2nd Edit: Perhaps the new wing for the GT2.2 has not completed the design stage? Or that, if it were to test it with the wing with intake in them, every one would know it is a GT2.2?

Berry,
As much as I'd like to, I am going to happily continue with my current car. I'd take a huge hit $$$ wise to trade for the new one. Porsche will always be making better cars. Maybe I'll replace it with the 998/991 version in 5 yrs.

I would doubt that very much ... it's most likely to follow the previous gen RS approach ... same engine/bhp+LWFW, some suspension changes, weight
reduction exercise, full cage, maybe different aero kit (although with the
upgrade the mkII has even that is questionable in my mind) etc ...
the 996 RS engine 'upgrade' was an anomaly ...
