This is a wonderful direction for the RS. The difference in handling should be HUGE with this car.
I like to think about handling this way: You have absolute handling limits set by the car's weight, tires used, and downforce (basically). Then the car's setup determines how close to these limits you get. All the GT3s and RSs already have very high absolute limits and you can better approach those limits with better alignments, etc. However, looking at the race cars and the faster tuner cars, you'd have even (much) higher limits with more front rubber and more downforce. This isn't just making the car better and more honed and more refined, it's a whole new envelope when it comes the physics of handling.

This new RS certainly appears to widen the gap between it and the GT3.2 compared to the current RS and the GT3.1. I wouldn't be surprised if the car is at 450hp. It obviously has a wider front track and the rear tires look like 325s to me (sidewall height appears higher compared to the current car).

As they further develop this GT3 vs RS brand, it is pretty clear they have to start differentiating the two so that RS buyers feel they are getting the added value - triple airdam hopefully means more power, increased front grip is big, better aero is big (that wing has less drag for sure) - now they just need to add a real LSD and better gearing

Uhhh. Isn't the whole purpose of the wing to add drag (downforce)?

- you have to remember that the air passing over the wing either has a basic straight shot at the wing if it is going straight past the driver or passenger doors or is coming over the roof and then angled down at the rear wing (i.e. at two very different angles) - thus you can see the rear wing has a different angle in the center section than at the side sections
- aero is a cubic function so small improvements are big at high speeds
