It's pending (just sent the reply). Was wondering whether it made any sense in the meantime.

Rather odd that Momentum BMW would be handling the GT3 instead of the Porsche division....

If it really went for $73k, I wonder how much lower will the 996 GT3 price be pushed down..

You still see people asking for almost $70k for a 6-GT3.. but if the 7-GT3, that's 3 yrs newer, w/ full warranty, is only $3k more... it really doesn't make sense to go for the 6..

6gt3 are at $50k
cherry car
no stories
around 20k miles

i can see that at sub 10k miles, they may still fetch 60k.

70k for 7gt3 is possible but rare.
avg price is still at 80k.
i personally know of one sold at 110k yesterday.
that's also rare. but there are ppl who just dont follow the mkt.

You don't see much 6GT3 posting for sales nowadays, though..

For $50k, the delta is big enough to go for the 6, I think.. (vs. the $70k 7-GT3)

The other interesting case I see is the 6GT3 at RUF that had the RGT engine package. But at the asking price of $70k (it was $80k, then $75k, now $70k), it still begs the question of, should one just spend a few grands more and go for the 7-GT3 that is under full warranty, newer, factory 415hps engine, etc.

Got a cryptic response this morning that just said

Not it isn't possible, because the vehicle is in our inventory. It would have to be at a porsche dealer to get certified.
without explaining why they couldn't march the car's happy *** across the street to the Porsche side of the dealership for the CPO process.

Oh well, the original plan was to move to a 7 GT3 at the end of this year anyways.

Aaron,

I guess you could also call the Porsche general manager across the street and tell them you were interested in that car, but only of it was a CPO car.

That's a thought. I think I'll just wait until the people down here start trading their 997.1 GT3s for the facelifts. Should be a lot nicer examples coming out then I'm thinking.

they can not CPO a car that has 2 panels that have been painted. A lot of the cars out there have been stuffed.

+1, Be careful when chasing down these "simply too good to be true deals" because they usually are....I looked at LOTS of cars before I ended up with the one I have now.

No idea. I asked about body/paint-work, and was simply told that "the vehicle does not have any reported damage" and referred to the Carfax report. Given the non-CPO status and the questionably low price I would recommend a PPI by a reputable third party before getting serious about it.

I went to look it after a trackday last week and they had the window at 74995. Now it's dropped even more!
