what are rennlisters thoughts on these?

Just do a wrap. It will cost less than 50$ and can be removed in 2 sec. You can buy the cheap thin ones on ebay for 20$ or go with thicker through lamin-x or others.

cuts down available light to see....hated them on the RSR during a night race at Sebring......couldn't see nada...

Are used primarily in ALMS to distinguish GT cars at night

This is how i did mine with clear film in the center for better light. Whole light is protected even have film on the silver washer buttons on light.

Yellow headlights use to be a law in France until 1992.

Here's a pic of my 996 with the Lamin-X film. I actually got sick of it after awhile and replaced it with clear film. As leif997 mentioned, it cuts down light at night and is actually pretty hard to see.

Thx guys for all the info!

I kinda like the look of it on a road/track car....

however, i have a hard enough time driving at night so i should probably avoid it.

Sorry no pics of lights on at night. But do to the clear film in the middle the HIDs are super bright.
I mainly did the yellow film with oval clear film in the middle to give the appearance of the 993/997 head light-cleans up the broken egg headlight look of the 996.
