Did you have to wash your ego off your underpants?? It's fun to be fast and loosing your buddy in the dust (figure of speech) but you gotta listen to the signs. 4 corners earlier your tires were telling you they had enough......

Peter,
In the immortal words of Steve Rosenthal: Showoff!
On the other hand, I think I am faster on grass.
Good to see you on Saturday.
Norman

Hehe, no code brown.. I know, I know, living on the edge.. I was due for a spin.
My ego is in check, but I do like to compare speeds a lot. hehe

I did not need to push to lose him, I was lapping 2-3 seconds faster than him (He later replaced his slicks and he was faster than me.)
In the 6 years I do this, I never spun my car once, and I let the car rotate quite a bit usually, this was just brain fade, waaay of line, waaay to fast.

We be focussing from now on...

Not yet, but early guess is clutch related. They are picking it up shortly so I will know more tomorrow.

Peter, I didn't see you give Juan the "point by" as you were re-grading the run-off area at T10.

Thanks for sharing. But my neck hurts now, where do I send you my chiropractor bills?

Seriously that looks like fun (other than the spin part of course). One day I will have enough ***** and time to take my 996 GT3 on a track. By then, I will be putting around on a classic car parade lap

There was so much dust, I could not see him, I doubt he could see me.. Juan probably wouldn't anyway, I think he knows he won anyway without the special signal..hehe

Yeah, sorry about the camera, finally somthing good to film and the freakin' think is all crooked ;-(

If you have not taken the GT3 to the track you need to do that RIGHT NOW, STAT!

Not everyone is an idiot like me, most people stay well within their limits with an instructor.
Everyone gets an instructor anyway in the beginning and we know what pace you can handle and what is safe.
I have plenty of students that want to go fater than they should, but I also have the guys that say; "Hey, I want to be WELL within the safety marging, otherwise I am not comfortable." and we can still learn all the proper techniques, line etc. I think you will love it.

Please at least try it, your car want to be let out...

I got my M3 at least that dirty in turn 5 @ Sebring. Before your off what lap times were you turning. Just curious as we were running 1:34. 560 with the GT2 on Kumho XS @ Homestead.

Peter, you're not planning to run Kumho XS at OLOA, are you? They don't make sizes for the 996 GT2, and they don't stick too well. Run GoodYear F1 Runflats.

I was running 1:37's all day, following the white GT3 we were doing '39's and 40' so I was following easy. I was on hoosiers with 20+ heat cycles. I did 5 more laps after my spin and yesterday morning I noticed that I corded the right rear. With new Hoosiers me thinks I can do 1:36, maybe 1:35 but I never owned new tires, so not sure.

Rad,

I'll run them (goodyear) if you do. NOT. We are just testing tires right now. Off to CMP the 16th for wet/dry skid pad and probably a wet track.

Video of the GT2 @ Homestead. We are still dialing it in after the spring change and OSgiken LSD install for street tires from 930mans slick setup. Got a Nasty mid corner push which shows by Ian's jerking the wheel mid corner to get the front to bite. Made some changes and the CMP skid pad testing will help.

We had an off in 10 also but it was just drive it in the grass. Not an oversteer issue just the tires going away and tracking out to far.
