- The wheels are gorgeous
- The front/rear bumper grills are good looking and functional
- The optional GT2 Carbon seats are amazing
- The front spoiler lip is deeper, and better looking
- Sunroof delete
- 3.8 with a transmission that suits better the engine torque curve
- dry sump
- ipod adapter
- Bluetooth
- Lighter and bigger iron rotors
- front height adjustment to clear driveways, load on trailers, etc
- Dynamic engine mounts
- The best GT3 stock rear spoiler to date
- Nicer steering wheel

What's not to like about this car?

I like it way too much.

since you asked....

1.don't really care for the LED tail light shape...no continuity with the lines and rather disruptive wrt aesthetics
2.not sure I agree with your impression of the wing; in fact, it appears the most "boy-racer" of all the GT3 wings IMO
3. are folding GT2 carbon seats really desired in a track base car?
4. i rather think the front upper vent plastic insert on the 997.1 is mor practical wrt cleaning and waxing...not sure why the rear end needed more "heat releasing" vents at the superior edge....just more places for dirt and grime to embed itself

Agree with most of the mechanical advances.

Still, I think they "got the formula right" the first time for the 997.1 and would have rather seen a complete departure for the 997.2 from the current design rather than a modest massage job, and not in the direction of "civility"...save that stuff for the turbo guys...this newer version should have headed in the more raw direction and not try to placate the masses of weekend warriors who want to sport the GT3 badge on their rear end on the way to the wineries.

Agree 100% with you leif. IMO the 997 RS is better looking.

too much "catfish" styling imho. I prefer the mk1 for simpler aesthetics

None; so long as PAG will not offer Cashmere interior. Especially when the exterior is ordered in Guards Red!

Great looking aero kit!

I love it that they used Guards Red...my 09 Carrera S is Guards Red and i do not think I could have another color now.

TargaTim
I have heard from my inside Porsche guy that the PDK will be a LONG time coming in the GT3
you might not want to wait it might be a long time.
Turbo 4Ever My inside Porsche contact said an RS version also will be a long time coming to the US.
There probably wont be a 997.2 version, just a rumor.
