What do you guys think about the price of this RS?

That was my car until July 2008. I had it new from March 2007 and it had 3,500 miles when I traded it back to my dealer for 125,000 (my cost). Used the trade in $$$ on a 2009 C4S cab which is coming this week and got some change back. I just wasn't driving it that much and I have a 2004 GT3 which is my track car. Car was perfect when I traded it. I installed intake screens (Carnewal) that still seem to be intact and protective film. I think the hood is popped, but probably not damaged. Screens probably would have been removed if it took a hit anywhere near the front. Options were xenons, floor mats and leather steering wheel. Sad to see it here. I may rescue it myself.

On a separate point, I don't think there's any love lost between most owners and dealers, but it doesn't do any of us good for the dealers to be taking a bath on so many cars. It might "cull the herd" and allow survival of the fitter dealers, but it's going to cost us all when it comes time for resale. I'm not looking forward to it!

My Porsche dealer sold it immediately to a "dealer" type in July 2008. I don't know whether this current owner was the buyer or not. Someone put an additional 1,500 miles on it.

If RS prices keep falling like this, it's going to be awful damn hard to choose the new GT3 over a used RS this fall. I do see that the white ones are (or appear to be) holding a little more steady, which is unfortunate since it's the only one that my wife would allow herself to be seen in. She's not a big fan of fluorescents and decals.

If a car suffers light track damage or light damage from storage etc... it can be repaired without insurance or title ever knowing.
If the repair is under a certain dollar amount depending on your state/area, then it dosnt have to be disclosed by the dealer/seller.
As far as this dealer is concerned it is not accident or paint worked according to the listing.
Things like this can go unnoticed to car-fax and the untrained eye........
Bring your magnets and popsicle sticks

New GT3 all day long for me. I belong to the group that does not believe the RS is that much different than the GT3. To me both of them are equally desirable.

while i do have an RS and may sell it, i dont think those bid prices means anything. if it's indeed sub 100, it would have sold LONG ago.
i just called up my dealer, they will take my RS right this min for 125 sight unseen.

The only feature of the 7.1 RS that will be missing from the 7.2 GT3 is the wide body. In every other way the new GT3 will be superior to the current RS. Most crucially, it will be more powerful and faster with a bigger engine. Plus the all-important fact that it will be the latest model.
Thus, the price of the current RS must drop to a maximum of around $110k or so, as the release date for the new car approaches in the coming months. Unless Mooty's dealer knows something I don 't...

I have not given the 7.2 GT3 a 2nd thought...I am keeping my orange RS...plenty of power, performance, and killer looks, the 7.2 GT3 will never have.
