Web specials, rumors, wishful thinking, protectionism of the current but discontinued production cars ......what's the truth? Will a GT3 model year 2010 come out in October 2009?

Everything is geared up for a Fall '09 launch - not rumors but "official" announcements. I see no reason why PAG would change that - they are pretty well assured of the production being sold even in this economy. I'm certain we'll see them around late September or October.

Yes, it's officially confirmed that MY 2010 GT3 will be available in the US as of October 2009.
Here's merely one of many press articles on the car...http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2009/01...ted-model.html
For many if not most here, the real question is whether an RS version will be available, and when. To that, my somewhat educated guess is that we won't see an RS variant of the GT3 until 2 years after the debut of the 991/998 911, around 2013 or so. Just MHO.
Depreciating the 2007/08 RS by releasing a Mk2 RS does not make a whole lot of sense at the present.
That being said, well damn, I should've been a riverboat gambler...

too much worrying.
buy the 7.2 gt3, drive the **** out of it.
then buy the RS when it comes out.
why wait, life is short. you might die tomorrow while waiting for the next RS.

Thanks for the replies, guys. So, looks like Fall '09 for the GT3 is real. Gotta start on working on the wife
.
I'm pretty sure I'm not waiting for the RS. The only reason I'd wait is it will make it easier to get the GT3 if others go for the RS. If they ship an ROW version of the RS rather than another watered down US version, then, maybe.

Here is my dream....
I sell my boat (2006 Fountain 38TE triple Verado's)! Money is cleared up for a GT3RS and it comes with PDK and paddle shifters.
If that happens I could honestly be done with wanting any other car for a very very long time.
