2010 GT3 allocations
Quick Question...I sent an e-mail to my dealer asking about getting on their list for the new GT3 ( Yes, I know/knew it's a long shot)...I know some of you have a deposit down and are ready to spec your cars out...well, here's the response I got..
"I believe we will start taking deposits in a few weeks and I dont have the order guide yet, but will have it soon. Will you be in town the next few weeks?
... "
I figured the response would have been laughter, but this sounds pretty encouraging..??

No waiting and over MSRP this time...
I am 2nd in line, but will wait for the RS, although tempting.
My dealer says likely no RS since the new one has the wing, light flywheel, no sunroof etc.
I do not agree, the wide body exisists and Porsche will find a way to make $$ with it.

Believe you me; Porsche is paying CLOSE attention at the interest level/demand.
I think you're going to be surprised.
Regardless- my Boss has issued a direct order to myself and Chad; "no deposits until we 100% allocation and ensure our local clients are aware first".
Which puts me in a pissy position; most of MY clients are my fellow RL peeps.
wtf do I do then?
But it's his business. I'm his employee. I get it. lol

That crap really pisses me off, i went for an RS cash in hand and was told i didn't buy enough porsches from them to be considered. The RS's go to the highest bidder of our preferred customers. Sorry.
So i wrote a letter to PCNA and got no response.

I am not at all offended that a dealer would give a priority to regular customers and to sell them at MSRP. I think that is good business for the dealer and fair consideration for the regular customer which encourages him to return for more cars later on. If I went to my regular dealer and he told me it was highest bidder wins, why would I ever go back?
