I am new posting to the forum (although I followed the posts the last few years looking for tips on my 996 gt3) and new to a 997 gt2 (used with 1500 miles). The gt2 came with aftermarket Champion wheels and I am trying to figure out how much the offsets have changed. Does anyone know if the 997 gt2 came with 5mm spacers both front and back?
I also want to thank all the members whose posts helped me improve the gt3--cup car toe links, monoball shock tower mounts, Guard LSD and wheel alignment-- which made it an incredible track car and the best sports car I ever owned. I hope the gt2 turns out to be as great.

Thanks. That would have been my guess since the aftermarket wheels had the same offset as stock and there is no spacer currently on the front. The rear wheels had a smaller offset than stock and also no spacer currently on the car, so if there was one initially a stock spacer, leaving it off would make things work about--to within 2mm which I presume is not material.

I have a 997 GT2 -- bought new. For the stock wheels, there are no spacers in front, but 5 mm spacers in the rear.
Wishing you best of luck and enjoyment with your GT2. I absolutely love mine. Put 4900 miles on it since early July, including two long trips.

Thanks for checking your car. That is exactly the information I needed. I only drove the car back from LA where I picked it up and can already tell it is a super car. I am getting a roll bar and harness and plan to track it a lot.
