Did you guys notice there was a link in youtube for a Samurai motorsports video with presumably a non stock GTR (they also had a 10.5s 1/4 video, may be the same car) where two black gtr's lined up on a drag strip and the one popped the tranny right off the launch.. moved maybe 10 feet.
Subaru and Mitsubishi have always had trouble with their cars and warranties as well with a rumor floating around Houston that one dealer even went to the auto-x events to take pictures of cars to prove they were racing just to void their warranty if they came in
I have never heard of anybody having warranty trouble with a turbo or c4 no matter how they drove the car. Side stepping the clutch from 6000 rpm in a turbo is a life changing experience, they are frighteningly fast for that first 30 feet or so and that can't be good for the car.
