Does 19x12 fit at back? is original.. 19x11? or 19x10?

They are 9.4 Kg (front) and 10.4 Kg (rear). This is the right offset for the RS -
8,5 x 19ET53 and 12X19ET51 / VA(front) 235/35/19 and HA (rear) 325/30/19.

Your welcome Adam. The German word for rear axle is Hinterachse commonly refered to as "HA" in the tuning industry and the word for front axle is Vorderachse or "VA".

In regards to the design and longevity of the Akrapovic exhausts...

"We rely on four Superflow Dyno bench desks, of which three are for motorcycles and one for sports cars as well as one Maha bench desk with an additional Horiba measuring device for exhaust gas emissions measurements."



"We use the 42-inch roll, four-wheel-drive AutoDyn, which is the highest capacity chassis dynamometer.



Torque is measured with a temperature-compensating load cell for precise torque and power readings. It enables us to run a variety of built-in vehicle tests, including single-gear or all-gear tests at wide open throttle, controlled acceleration, controlled deceleration, step, steady-state, aero load, and drive cycle tests. The steady-state and drive cycle tests can be performed at full or partial throttle settings.

Sensors constantly monitor and measure the data from the AutoDyn. Additionally, we benefit from temperature measurements, pressure measurements, and air/fuel monitoring.

We can measure up to 1500 HP on our car bench desk."

In regards to the heat...

"By choosing the right type of titanium we can achieve the best possible performance regarding, durability, heat resistance and weight. We are able to use exclusive titanium for each specific type of exhaust system model and configuration.

Actually, titanium alloys used for exhaust system fabrication are all α alloys, which use as addition small quantities of different alloying elements, as aluminum, copper, niobium, silicon and iron. Addition of these elements has increased significantly the oxidation resistance and mechanical properties, if compared whit the performance of commercially pure titanium, especially Grade 2. For production of exhaust system dedicated to high performance bikes and cars, Akrapovič buys several types of titanium alloys, from different producers worldwide; the most common purchased raw material is in shape of coils, with a thickness between 0,5 - 1,5 mm. These advanced alloys show excellent properties for their target application (high strength, elevated thermal properties, weldability); however, their use for realizing parts with complicated shapes is still limited, because of problems associated with poor formability and consequently high manufacturing costs. Formability problems of cold rolled titanium alloys are well known several years ago, and basically are strictly related to the anisotropic behavior of the materials.

For sure, texture in titanium alloys has a big impact on the final mechanical characteristic of the product, especially formability, because, as previously explained, the slip planes of HCP lattice are not symmetrically sorted.

Akrapovič d.d. purchases for its exhaust system production six diffent types of titanium alloys from three different suppliers; four of them are mostly used for deep drawed parts, as endcap or rosette. Executing a practical deep drawing test under the press, the behavior of these materials is completely different."

All important stuff. I don't get why the weight savings of parts is rarely published. They talk about weight savings (many aftermarket parts vendors), but rarely weigh the stock parts and the aftermarket replacment to give you a net weight loss. Just doesn't make sense to me. I guess I learned to weigh every single part on my car that I mess with from my Lotus days. I think the Lotus vendors usually go to 4 or 5 decimal places when publishing weight savings.

Akrapovic Titanium Export Sport Muffler for 997 GT3/RS retails for $8,197.

Weight:

Muffler: 52.91 lbs (24 kg) less than stock center & side mufflers.

Power:

The Akrapovic "Sport Cup" system which includes headers, cats and the center muffler produce a gain of 28.60 HP or 29 PS and 29.5 lb. ft of torque or 40NM.

I will have the full details on the headers and cats tommorow for everyone.

I was afraid of that price. When I bought a set of Akrapovic headers and mufflers for my Yamaha R1 the price was more then 15% of a new bike. But they are top notch, with many, many teams in Superbike running their exhausts.

that muffler/exhaust system can really produce that much more hp without other mods to the dme????

I finally have some more information in my hands now... I was wondering the same thing, I found it very strange that the numbers matched their 997TT numbers!! As I mentioned I was waiting for the info as I knew something was not right.

Here is the info straight from Akrapovic...

Hardfacts (German):
• 12 PS plus (bei 5.510 U/min.)
• 14,2 Nm plus (bei 5.740 U/min.)

Hardfacts (English):
• 11.8 Hp
• 10.47 lb ft

Please keep in mind the numbers above are for their complete system!!

Here is the dyno sheet for the complete system...



I will post the entire .PDF from Germany when I get it tommorow. That way all of us have the info!

Suncoast charges 6500$ for the Ti 997GT2 exhaust, which akrapovic makes.
