Default paint code needed

Hi everyone,

Anyone have a black 997? Can you send me the paint code please? Or if you know where I can find the information online that would be great too.

I have a GT Silver GT3 but I want to paint the cup car wing and the cup lid black and I would like to paint it to conform to a porsche paint code. I am also going to add a CF hood. I think there are two black colors in 997 (not sure). One is Basalt Black (I do not want that one) and the other is Black.

Thanks for any information.

Lindsey

You should consider painting these items "tire wall blue". Sorry, couldn't help it.

The paint code used to be on the underside of the trunk lid. You just need to find it.

Now, damnit Norman, that is just plain mean. You hurt my feelers. Be nice to me and I will stop putting sand into your transmission reservoir.

I am actually pursuing an external roll cage. It is a a great device that protects your car from all tire walls. Evil evil tire walls!

Not sure what you mean? I know what my paint code is but I want to paint the wing and lid black so I needed a black paint code. Porsche actually moves the paint code stickers around. Why, I do not know. My paint code (GT Silver) is inside the fuel filler door.

This is a pretty good resource that I've been using: http://www.paintscratch.com/search.html

I've got a basalt black car, so my code is C9Z/Z4, but there are various shades of Porsche black...

Hope that helps.

Lindsey,
All in good fun. I do like the idea of the external roll cage. It's an item that could sell and one that many of us could use.
